What is the network

The care of refugees with traumatic experiences can only succeed together, through the cooperation of all those who have contact with people with refugee experiences. Your competences are the basis for a growing network of help, whether you already have experience and special knowledge in dealing with affected persons or whether you want to acquire this.

The network includes numerous counselling centres with special competences and many years of experience in accompanying refugees. In addition, institutions of standard health care, such as psychotherapeutic practices, psychiatric hospitals and medical care centres. But institutions from all other fields that work with or have contact with refugees are also welcome, as are associations and volunteers.

Why should we join the network?

Accompanying refugees with traumatic experiences often poses great challenges. Those affected often have special needs, but at the same time have only limited access to specific assistance. Membership in the network is intended to support you in overcoming these challenges by facilitating contact with existing support options, targeted exchange with professional colleagues, as well as training opportunities and access to helpful resources. However, our network is not only intended to support you as professionals in your work. First and foremost, we hope that it will contribute to a sustainable improvement in the care of those affected. For this we need you and your very own skills!
