On 13.09.2023 the 4th Centra symposium will take place on the topic “‘Mind the gap’ – Recognizing and caring for refugees with special needs”. It will focus on ways to identify people with special protection needs at an early stage. We are delighted that Alva Träbert from the “BeSafe” project of the Federal Association of Psychosocial Centers for Refugees and Torture Victims (BAfF) will be giving a presentation on this topic. We were also able to win Ulrike Kloiber, Senate Coordinator for Equality for People with Disabilities (SkbM) in Hamburg, for a presentation on early identification. Practical workshops will deal with topics such as working with clients who have experienced torture and child protection in shelters. You can look forward to an exciting event in hybrid format (online participation is also possible)! Participation is free of charge after registration. You can find the current program here. Please send your registration by 12.09.2023 to veranstaltungen@centra.hamburg.
